- WorkIndex reserves the right to remove requests that violate community guidelines or appear fraudulent.
How Expert Selection Works
- A maximum of 5 professionals can approach you per request โ ensuring only serious, relevant proposals reach you.
- Experts who respond early are generally more committed and available โ reviewing approaches promptly gives you best results.
- You are under no obligation to hire any expert who approaches you.
- Once you select an expert and service begins, we recommend marking your request completed to avoid further approaches.
- WorkIndex does not guarantee the quality, timeliness, or outcome of any service delivered by a professional.
Important: WorkIndex is a marketplace โ we connect you with professionals but are not a party to any service agreement between you and the expert you hire.
Exploring & Directly Hiring Experts
- You may browse verified expert profiles in the Explore section and shortlist or invite experts directly at no cost.
- Inviting an expert directly does not cost you anything as a customer.
- You are responsible for verifying an expert's credentials and suitability before hiring them.
- WorkIndex profiles display ratings and verified reviews from past clients to assist your decision-making.
- Blocking an expert removes them from your search results and prevents further contact.
Documents & File Sharing
- You may upload documents to your account and share them with experts you are actively working with.
- Nothing is shared without your explicit approval โ you control all access at all times.
- You may grant or revoke document access to any expert at any time from your dashboard.
- WorkIndex stores your documents securely but is not liable for misuse after you have knowingly granted access to an expert.
- Do not upload documents containing passwords, bank PINs, OTPs, or other highly sensitive personal data unrelated to the service.
- Report any document misuse immediately through the support ticket system.
Payments & Hiring
- All payments for professional services are made directly between you and the expert โ WorkIndex does not process or hold these payments.
- WorkIndex does not guarantee, mediate, or take responsibility for any payment arrangement between clients and professionals.
- Any disputes over payment, scope, quality, or delivery must be resolved directly between you and the expert.
- WorkIndex is not liable for the outcome, quality, accuracy, or timeliness of any service delivered.
- Always agree on scope and payment terms with the expert before work begins.
Reviews & Ratings
- You are encouraged to leave honest ratings after work is completed โ reviews help the community.
- Reviews help other customers decide and help genuine experts grow on the platform.
- False, malicious, or defamatory reviews intended to harm an expert may be removed and your account suspended.
- WorkIndex may verify reviews for authenticity but does not guarantee all reviews are independently verified.

Credits & Payments
- Credits are purchased upfront and are strictly non-refundable under any circumstance once purchased.
- Credits are consumed when you unlock a client's contact details and send an approach to their request.
- Purchasing credits does not guarantee you will win the client โ it gives you the opportunity to pitch.
- WorkIndex is a lead generation platform, not a job guarantee platform. Success depends on your profile, pitch, and the client's decision.
- Credit packages are one-time purchases with no expiry date โ unused credits carry forward indefinitely.
- In the event of account suspension or ban due to policy violations, remaining credits are forfeited with no refund.
Non-Refund Policy: Credits once spent to unlock a client request are not returned even if the client is unresponsive, hires someone else, cancels their request, or provides inaccurate information.
Approaches & Leads
- Only 5 experts maximum can send an approach on any single client request โ first come, first served basis.
- Responding early significantly increases your chances โ clients tend to engage most with the first 1โ3 approaches they receive.
- Credits spent to unlock a request are not returned even if the client is unresponsive, cancels, or hires another expert.
- WorkIndex does not control or influence which expert a client ultimately chooses.
- You are responsible for your own communication, pricing, terms, and delivery after connecting with a client.
- Never attempt to take conversations or payments outside the platform against platform guidelines.
Direct Hire via Explore
- Clients may discover your profile through the Explore section and invite you directly to their project.
- Credits are still required to respond to a direct invite and unlock the client's full contact details.
- A direct invite signals strong client interest but does not waive the credit requirement.
- Direct invites are influenced by your profile strength, KYC verification status, ratings, and availability.
- Maintain a professional profile and positive rating to maximize direct hire opportunities.
Profile & Profile Strength
- A complete and accurate profile significantly increases your chances of being discovered and invited by clients.
- Profile strength is calculated based on: profile photo, bio, specialization, services offered, location, experience, certifications, and ratings.
- Experts with higher profile strength appear higher in search results and receive more direct client invites.
- You must provide accurate, truthful information about your qualifications, experience, and credentials.
- Misrepresenting your credentials, qualifications, or identity is grounds for immediate permanent account suspension with no credit refund.
- WorkIndex may request verification of credentials at any time.
Documents & File Access
- Clients may share documents with you through the platform solely for the purpose of completing their requested service.
- You may request document access only when it is genuinely required to assess or deliver the service.
- After a client grants access, you may download and use documents exclusively for delivering the requested service.
- Downloaded documents must not be shared with third parties, used for unrelated purposes, or retained after the engagement ends.
- Misuse of client documents will result in immediate permanent ban and may be reported to relevant legal authorities.
- Once a client revokes document access, you must immediately cease use of any information obtained from those documents.
Zero Tolerance: Misuse or unauthorized sharing of client documents is taken extremely seriously. It will result in permanent account termination and potential legal action.
Ratings & Conduct
- Clients can rate you after work completion and those reviews are publicly visible on your profile.
- WorkIndex does not remove negative reviews unless they violate platform guidelines or are demonstrably false.
- You are expected to maintain professional, respectful conduct at all times with clients and other users.
- Harassment, intimidation, discrimination, or abusive behaviour will result in account suspension.
- WorkIndex reserves the right to restrict, suspend, or remove profiles with consistent negative ratings, multiple reports, or conduct violations.
- You may respond to reviews professionally from your dashboard โ this response is also publicly visible.
๐ General Terms โ Applies to Everyone
- WorkIndex is a marketplace platform that connects clients with professionals โ we are not a party to any service agreement between them.
- WorkIndex reserves the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
- Users are expected to comply with all applicable Indian laws, including but not limited to the IT Act, 2000, and Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
- Accounts found to be fraudulent, abusive, or used for illegal activities will be permanently banned without notice.
- Banned expert accounts forfeit any remaining credits with no refund.
- For disputes or misuse reports, raise a support ticket โ our team will review within 48 working hours.
- WorkIndex does not sell, share, or monetize your personal data with third parties for advertising purposes.
- These terms are governed by the laws of Karnataka, India. Any legal disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Karnataka.
- WorkIndex's liability in any event is limited to the amount you paid to WorkIndex directly (credit purchases) โ not including any amounts paid to professionals.
