Credit Purchase Refunds
- All credit purchases on WorkIndex are final and non-refundable once the transaction is completed successfully.
- Credits are a digital consumable โ once purchased, they are credited to your account and available for immediate use.
- We do not offer refunds for unused credits simply because you changed your mind or decided not to use the platform.
- Unused credits never expire โ they remain in your account indefinitely and can be used whenever you're ready.
- Credits cannot be transferred between accounts or converted to cash.

Technical Failures & Payment Issues
- If your payment was deducted from your bank/UPI but credits were not added to your WorkIndex account, this is considered a technical failure.
- Such cases are reviewed individually and typically resolved within 24โ48 business hours of your report.
- If a duplicate payment was charged (the same transaction billed twice), the excess amount will be refunded.
- Payment gateway fees charged by Instamojo are non-recoverable and may be deducted from any approved refund amount.
Report within 7 days
Technical payment failures must be reported within 7 days of the transaction date. Claims beyond this window may not be accepted.
Provide proof
Share your bank statement screenshot or UPI transaction reference number showing the deduction.
Review (24โ48 hrs)
Our team verifies with the payment gateway. If confirmed, credits are added or refund initiated within 2 business days.
Refund processed
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method. Bank processing may take 3โ7 business days additionally.
Cancellation Policy
- Customers may cancel a posted service request at any time from their dashboard before a professional has been selected and work has started. Cancellation is free.
- Professionals cannot "cancel" an approach once sent โ the credits consumed for that approach are non-recoverable.
- Account cancellation: You may request deletion of your WorkIndex account at any time by raising a support ticket. Any remaining unused credits in your account will be forfeited and not refunded upon account deletion.
- WorkIndex reserves the right to cancel and refund a credit purchase if it determines the purchase was made fraudulently.
- Subscriptions or recurring charges do not currently exist on WorkIndex โ all purchases are one-time.
Service Quality Disputes
- WorkIndex is a marketplace and does not guarantee the quality, accuracy, or outcomes of any professional service.
- Disputes about the quality of work, deliverables, or timelines are between the client and the professional โ WorkIndex is not a party to these agreements.
- WorkIndex does not provide refunds for professional services paid to experts โ those payments are made outside the platform.
- If you have been defrauded or harassed by an expert, report it through the platform โ WorkIndex will take account action including restriction or banning.
